Putting Consumer Insight into Action
Our founders felt a unique sense of responsibility to the community. They believed improvement comes to society one community at a time. That belief has become part of our culture here at Whirlpool, guiding us as we work to improve lives.
Our employees feel so strongly about volunteering in the community and helping those in need that in 2011, Whirlpool Corporation instituted a formal volunteer program. The program launched in our Michigan headquarters community in 2011, and throughout the U.S. later that year, with nearly 5,000 volunteer hours logged by the end of the year. Although service to others has always been a part of who we are at Whirlpool, this program allows us to formally recognize volunteerism as a integral part of our company's DNA.
We know that our commitment to giving back isn't just important to us, but to you and your homebuyers as well. And that's why we have three significant relationships with not-for-profit organizations to help make a positive difference in people's lives across the globe.
